POTENTIAL HEALTH HAZARDInhaling Mica dust can cause occupational asthma. Prolonged skin contact may cause drying and irritation. Particles of ground mica can cause eye irritation. Prolonged exposure to high levels of dust may cause pulmonary fibrosis (Scarring of Lung Tissues.) It is advisable that people with a history of asthma, eczema. Hay fever or chronic skin complaints should not be exposed to Mica Dust.
Providing recommended working practices viz. Use of
face mask, Cap and gloves are followed any risk to health will be very small.
Avoid breathing Mica Dust.
